  • Dermatrophin PMG

The Dermatrophin PMG supplement supports healthy skin and connective tissue throughout the body.

According to Dr. Royal Lee, a pioneer in cell biology, cell growth is directed by the interplay of two factors – enzymes called protomorphogens (PMGs) and Natural Tissue Antibodies. As a person ages, they produce fewer PMGs, which means that it takes longer for their tissues and cells to regenerate. Each PMG is cell specific, but not species specific. In practice, this means that an extract of bovine kidney PMG can have a similar effect on human kidney cells.

In his groundbreaking work, Dr. Lee was able to isolate PMGs for 23 cell types. He found that injecting the PMGs directly into the tissue was not effective, because the body would recognize and attack the foreign substance. Rather, the patient would consume the PMGs in tablet form, where they would be absorbed into the bloodstream and balance the Natural Tissue Antibodies. This would stimulate the regeneration of cells and repair damaged tissues.

Dr. Lee writes in his An Introduction to Protomorphology:

By the use of these protomorphogen extracts we can often produce a dramatic change in the condition of some organ. In cases where progress is slow or lacking and where stimulation or repair is desirable, it is a remarkable thing how progress can be accelerated by the use PMG extracts, whereas ordinary nutritional measures may have produced only a mildly beneficial effect.

PMGs can be beneficial not only for the large organs, such as the heart, lungs, or brain, but also for body systems, such as the skin.

Dermatrophin PMG contains bovine epithelial PMG to promote and stimulate the regeneration of skin and connective tissues. It is a great choice for those struggling with skin ailments, particularly those related to aging. It provides minerals, nucleotides, and peptides to strengthen and renew the skin.

  • Adrenal Desiccated

The Adrenal Desiccated supplement supports the adrenal glands with a blend of bovine adrenal and organic carrot. This supports immune function during times of stress and provides adrenal support for extra energy.

Dr. James L. Wilson, author of the book Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Syndrome, writes about the adrenal glands as “the glands that first respond to stress, but also the first to suffer as a result of stress.”

According to a 2018 Gallup poll, Americans are near the top of the list of most stressed nations. On average, 55% of Americans are stressed during the day. That’s 20 percentage points higher than the global average of 35%. Over time, that stress can build up and cause adrenal fatigue. Over 80% of people will experience adrenal fatigue multiple times during their lifetime.

One of the most serious effects of chronic stress is elevated cortisol levels. Cortisol is released naturally as a part of the body’s stress response. Cortisol levels typically stay high for a few hours after a stressful event. However, if cortisol levels are chronically high (often due to chronic stress), this can lead to a disease called Cushing syndrome.

Cushing syndrome can cause the following symptoms.

  • Rapid weight gain, mainly in the chest, abdomen, and face
  • Osteoporosis
  • High blood pressure
  • Anxiety, irritability, and depression
  • Skin changes
  • Muscle weakness
  • Increased thirst and urination

Even if you don’t develop Cushing syndrome, chronic stress can have other negative effects on your health, including the following symptoms.

  • A weaker immune system
  • Increased risk of diabetes
  • Increased risk of ulcers
  • A buildup of plaque in the arteries
  • Sleep disturbances and insomnia

This is why it’s so important to support the adrenal glands, particularly when experiencing short-term stress. The Adrenal Desiccated supplement provides tailor-made support to keep your adrenal system strong and resilient.

  • Turmeric Forte

The Turmeric Forte supplement contains a blend of Turmeric rhizome and Fenugreek seed to support a healthy inflammatory response, joint health, and liver health.

A culinary staple in kitchens across Asia and the Middle East, turmeric is now valued as a powerful supplement in natural medicine. Turmeric contains the phytonutrient curcumin, which modulates inflammation and can help treat many chronic diseases.

  • Benefits of Curcumin (Active Ingredient)
  • Joint Health and Arthritis

For those who suffer from arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, the standard therapy is generally non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are COX-2 inhibitors. “Curcumin has been used to treat arthritis symptoms because it too is a COX-2 inhibitor that has been found to decrease pain and inflammation as effectively as pain medication in many studies.”

  • Inflammation

When the body recognizes an injury or microbe, it responds with inflammation to address the threat. Inflammation has two phases—initiation and resolution. When the body is imbalanced, inflammation is initiated but not resolved. This leads to oxidative stress and chronic inflammation.

Chronic inflammation can provide fertile ground for many chronic diseases. That’s why curcumin is so beneficial as an anti-inflammatory.

Curcumin uses several different mechanisms to resolve inflammation. It can block inflammatory messengers such as nuclear factor kappa beta (NF-kB) and tumor necrosis factor (TNF). It can also boost the body’s innate anti-inflammatory pathways. It can also act to destroy free radicals and reduce oxidative damage and stress.

Curcumin is also beneficial for your liver health. It can lower triglyceride and cholesterol levels, which prevents liver damage. One study found that curcumin can reduce mercury concentration in tissues and protect the body from heavy metal toxicity. A 2016 study and 2019 study showed that curcumin cleansed and detoxed the liver of rats with liver damage.

When studied in humans, curcumin was shown to inhibit liver damage in humans consuming a high-fat diet. Another 8-week study prescribed curcumin to subjects who already had nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Those who took curcumin showed a 78.9% reduction in their liver fat content vs. 27.5% reduction in the placebo group. The curcumin group also experienced decreases in triglycerides, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, and blood sugars. Curcumin is a powerful supplement to support liver function.

  • Heart health

In 2019, heart disease was the top cause of death in the world according to the World Health Organization. One of the root causes of heart disease is endothelium dysfunction—when the lining of your blood vessels cannot regulate blood pressure and blood clotting. Curcumin can improve and strengthen endothelial function. It can also help reduce oxidation and inflammation.

  • Prevent Alzheimer’s

Alzheimer’s disease is an increasingly common brain disease. Curcumin can be a powerful therapy because it can cross the blood-brain barrier. According to a 2018 study, curcumin can decrease the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

“For prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, curcumin has been shown to effectively maintain the normal structure and function of cerebral vessels, mitochondria, and synapses, reduce risk factors for a variety of chronic diseases, and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. The effect of curcumin on Alzheimer’s disease involves multiple signalling pathways: anti-amyloid and metal iron-chelating properties, antioxidation and anti-inflammatory activities.”

For those who want to reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s, curcumin is a beneficial supplement!

  • Anti-Cancer

Cancer is a disease caused by out-of-control cell growth. However, curcumin is toxic to cancer cells. It can also slow the growth of blood vessels in tumors (angiogenesis) and reduce the spread of cancer. Some studies suggest curcumin can also help prevent cancer.

  • Diabetes

Thanks to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, curcumin can fight the enzymes that drive diabetes and cause secondary health problems. These enzymes include alpha-glucosidase and aldose reductase. “Curcumin may also prevent or slow the progression of diabetes-related complications, like retinopathy, neuropathy, vascular diseases, nephrology, and liver disorders.”

  • Depression

Your favorite curry spice could also boost your mood! In a 6-week study of people with depression, people took either curcumin, Prozac, or Prozac plus curcumin. Those who took Prozac and curcumin showed similar improvement, while those who took Prozac and curcumin had the best results. Curcumin may also increase serotonin and dopamine in the brain, which are neurotransmitters that deal with moods and pleasure.

  • PMS

Research suggests that supplementing with curcumin can relieve the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. It can also bring relief from menstrual cramps and muscle aches.

  • Cholesterol

Studies show that curcumin reduces overall cholesterol levels. It reduces LDL (bad) cholesterol while increasing HDL (good) cholesterol in the body. This reduces the risk of heart disease, stroke, and other cardiovascular ailments.

The Best Way to Take Curcumin

Should you take curcumin alone? Experts would say no. When curcumin is taken alone, it has poor bioavailability, meaning that it is difficult for the body to absorb. That’s why traditional cuisines around the world combine turmeric with other herbs to increase their absorption rate. For example, curcumin has been combined with black pepper, which contains piperine. This combination irritates the gut lining and increases absorption.

Most recently, studies show that a blend of fenugreek and curcumin increases bioavailability dramatically. A 2020 study stated:

Curcumin, combined with fenugreek soluble fiber (galactomannans), has been shown to enhance curcumin bioavailability by increasing the absorption and saturation to up to 20 times compared to curcumin alone.

That’s why the Turmeric Forte supplement combines both fenugreek and curcumin for a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory supplement. It’s no surprise that this is one of the most popular supplements of 2022 so far!

  • Thytrophin PMG

The Thytrophin PMG supplement supports healthy thyroid function. Each tablet contains 109 mg of a Standard Process proprietary blend of magnesium citrate and bovine thyroid PMG extract.

A protomorphogen (PMG) is an enzyme that promotes cell growth. According to Dr. Royal Lee, a pioneer in the study of PMGs, these enzymes can be used to correct an enzyme deficiency.

To summarize, we may say that both stimulating and inhibiting factors are necessary for the control of growth. Protomorphogens are the stimulating factors and Natural Tissue Antibodies are the inhibiting factors by which growth and repair are regulated…By supplying extracts of the specific organ involved, we can influence the local nutritional environment of those particular cells. Any activity of an organ causes the increased secretion of protomorphogens into the surrounding fluids, and the effect is a purely physiological one…

When PMG is taken orally, it is absorbed into the bloodstream and can stimulate cell growth and regeneration.

Who should consider supplementing with PMG thyroid supplements?

The two most common thyroid diseases are hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism. Those who experience them may want to consider a PMG supplement to support their thyroid function.

Hypothyroidism is a disorder where the thyroid gland is underactive. About 5 out of 100 Americans ages 12 years and older have hypothyroidism, although most are mild. Common symptoms include fatigue, weight gain, depression, joint and muscle pain, menstruation and fertility problems, and slowed heart rate.

As you might guess, hyperthyroidism is the opposite of hypothyroidism. It is a disorder caused by an overactive thyroid gland. Nearly 1 out of 100 Americans ages 12 years and older have hyperthyroidism. The symptoms of hyperthyroidism include an irregular heartbeat, thinning bones, osteoporosis, menstrual and fertility issues, and muscle problems.

A PMG-based thyroid supplement can be extremely helpful to reduce or alleviate the symptoms of thyroid dysfunction.

  • Renafood

The Renafood supplement is designed to support healthy kidney function. Each tablet contains 385 mg of the Standard Process proprietary blend. This blend contains kidney bean juice powder, bovine kidney PMG extract, lactose, bovine kidney, organic oat flour, defatted wheat germ, beet, organic carrot, organic sweet potato, and Spanish moss. The tablets also contain Vitamin A (230 mcg RAE), Vitamin C (2 mg), and Sodium (5 mg).

The most potent ingredients in this blend are the bovine kidney and bovine kidney PMG extract. When consumed orally, kidney PMG extract can stimulate cell growth and renewal. This can regenerate kidney tissue and help repair cellular damage.

If you are concerned about your kidney health, here are some important strategies to consider.

  • Limit your sugar intake

Excess simple sugars can have negative effects on your kidney health. Aim to have less than 10% of your daily calories from added sugars, and avoid them whenever possible.

  • Stay active.

Physical activity is essential to keep your kidneys healthy and strong. Experts recommend 30 minutes or more of moderate exercise daily.

  • Get enough sleep.

Aim for at least 7-8 hours per night to stay healthy.

  • Manage your diabetes.

Check your blood glucose levels regularly, and follow your prescribed diet. Aim to keep your blood glucose close to goal levels most of the time. If you have diabetes, you should also work on keeping your blood pressure down. The National Institute of Health writes, “The blood pressure goal for most people with diabetes is below 140/90 mm Hg.”
