Barre3
Barre3 is a full-body workout that utilizes low-impact movements. The method is designed to optimize and balance the body by combining athleticism, form and grace, nutrition, and the latest innovations. Barre3 workouts are highly efficient and beneficial for the body, as the moves are created to adapt to your body so you can enjoy maximum results.
The unique fitness experience was crafted by Sadie and Chris Lincoln, who spent more than 20 years in the corporate fitness industry, before they decided on creating a new technique. They opened their flagship studio in Portland, Oregon in 2008. Today, there are more than a hundred Barre3 studios throughout the world, as well as an online community with thousands of members and advocates.
Barre3 is anchored on three basic concepts: exercise, nourish, and connect. Unlike other fitness techniques, their approach doesn’t focus heavily on intensity or weight loss. Instead, it puts emphasis on whole-body health, proper nourishment, and techniques and exercises that encourage you to lead a more balanced and healthier lifestyle.
SoulCycle
SoulCycle is a New York-based fitness company that was founded in 2006 by Elizabeth Cutler, Julie Rice, and Ruth Zukerman, who all shared a passion for creating an alternative to fitness workouts that felt too repetitive. The company has over 85 locations throughout the country, offering classes to people of all ages. They have about 20,000 riders at their studios each week, and approximately 440,000 active riders.
SoulCycle is designed to offer a workout that’s both enjoyable and efficient – an experience that’s not simply part of your day, but THE best part of your day. The founders’ goal was to re-invent the concept of indoor cycling, and take it to a whole new level.
It’s not simply about changing your body’s appearance – it’s a fitness experience you can enjoy with other people. SoulCycle enhances workouts using attractive candlelit spaces, inspirational instructors, and pulse-pounding music. Here, all riders are encouraged to let loose and clear their minds, so you can enjoy renewed strength that goes beyond the studio walls.
